Bhawanipatna: Marking their presence in the tribal-dominated Kalahandi district, Maoists today killed 2 persons including the village guard of Katlanga village in Bhawanipatna suspecting him a police informer.

The deceased has been identified Chemu Harijan.

Besides, the ultras have also torched the bike of Harijan.

Similarly, the red rebels also killed another villager of Salpang village by slitting his throat. The deceased has been identified as Lalu Harijan

Notably on October 15, Sangita, a woman cadre Maoist, was killed in a fire exchange between police and Maoists at Katlanga reserve forest in the district.
