2 detained for carrying injured woman to hospital

Puri: Two persons have been detained by Kumbharapada police after admitting a critically injured woman to Puri hospital here today.

According to reports, both of them in a four wheeler were intercepted by two youths who were carrying the woman in a bleeding state on their bike. The youths requested help to shift the woman to Puri medical from Brahmagiri. The woman had severe head and nose injuries.

After shifting the woman from the two wheeler to the vehicle, the two youths followed the vehicle till some distance but later did not reach the hospital.

The persons who accompanied her to the hospital are being interrogated, said Pravata Mallika, IIC Brahmagiri.

The woman who hails from Keonjhar is staying at Salia Sahi in Bhubaneswar, he added.
