2 dead after car plunges off an underconstruction bridge

Bhubaneswar: Two businessmen were killed after their car plunged off an underconstruction bridge near Kansabahal under Kesinga police limits in Kalahandi district late on Tuesday night.

The deceased have been identified as Dinesh Jain and Sanjay Agarwal of Kesinga area. Both the traders were returning from Rourkela.

It was only today morning that the police rescued the bodies from the crash site and sent them for post mortem.

In another incident, a car and a coal-laden truck were gutted following a collision near Mulapal chhak on NH-16 in Jajpur.

The incident occured when a car coming from Cuttack side rammed into the truck from behind. Under the impact of the collision, both the vehicles caught fire.

However, occupants of both the vehicles escaped unhurt in the mishap, sources said.
