2 dead, 13 hurt in bus mishap in Baipariguda

Baipariguda: In a tragic incident, two persons including a woman were killed and six injured when a bus carrying them met with an accident near Siribeda under Baipariguda block in Koraput district today while returning from Gupteswar after paying obeisance to Lord Shiva on occasion of Maha Shivratri.

The injured were rushed to the Baipariguda hospital for treatment.

The mishap occurred when the ill-fated bus carrying the victims was returning from Gupteswar to Papalura of Malkangiri district.

Later in the day Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh for the family of the deceased and free treatment for the injured.
