15 rooms gutted in Chandbali fire mishap

Bhadrak: At least 15 rooms were gutted after a fire broke out in Nalagohira village in Chandbali of Bhadrak district today.

According to sources, property worth lakhs of rupees including furniture and other valuable assets were completely reduced to ashes in the mishap. A total of five families have been affected by the blaze, stated reports.

Eye witnesses said the fire was first spotted in the house of one Ramesh Nayak in the village. Subsequently, the flames spread to other nearby houses within a short span of time.

On receiving information, fire personnel reached the spot and doused the flames after considerable effort, informed sources.

However, no casualties or injuries have been reported as residents managed to escape and move to safer places. Cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
