Bhubaneswar/Jharkhand: In a major road mishap, at least 15 persons were injured after a tourist bus carrying pilgrims from Odisha fell off a bridge near Tata in Jharkhand late Friday night.

The incident occurred when the tourist bus 'Sriramjee Benz' carrying around 50 Muslim pilgrims from Cuttack, Kendrapara and Soro areas of Odisha was returning from Ajmer.

Reportedly, the bus, stationed on the road side, was hit by a speeding truck from the rear following which it fell off the bridge.

A few passengers had got down of the bus to have tea, while many were still inside the bus when the mishap occurred.

Sources said 15 persons injured in the accident were rushed to Tata Hospital where they are undergoing treatment.

All the 50 pilgrims had been to Ajmer to attend the annual celebrations of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti, sources said.
