Bhubaneswar:  More than 1,485 jobs were offered to persons with disabilities and other job seekers in the area of sales, hospitality, finance, automobile, insurance etc at the Inclusive Job Fair held here yesterday.

Pay packages from Rs 60,000 to Rs 5 lakh were offered to candidates by companies like  HDFC bank, Tata Motors, Eureka Forbes Ltd, L&T Finance, Maruti Suzuki, Cafe Coffee Day, Reliance Retail, Medplus.

Out of 463 job seekers with different educational qualification from Class 5th to post-graduation level, 254 were shortlisted by different companies.

The fair also saw participation from skill training providers like CIPET, Care, ICICI Skill Academy and Best first to guide the candidates about skill set required to get into the job market and for career progression. A total of 22 companies participated in the event that will go on for two months.

The fair is being jointly organised by the National Career Service Centre for Differently Abled(NCSCDA), Ministry of Labour & Employment, District Skill Development Authority(DDA) and the Department of Social Security & Empowerment  of PWDs at Gandamunda.
