Bhubaneswar: As the intense heat wave threw normal life out of gear in most parts of interior Odisha today with temperature hovering at 40 degree and above, the local Met office here has predicted that there would be no change in the weather condition in the state till next 10 days up to April 7.
A Met release here this evening said Bolangir was the hottest place with 43.3 degree Celsius while mercury rose up to 40 Degrees and above in 13 places in Titlagarh (43), Jharsuguda (42.7), Angul (42.7), Talcher (42.6), Hirakud (41.6), Sundargarh (41.5), Bhawaniapatna (41.5), Dhenkanal (41.5), Sambalpur (41.4), Sonepur (41), Baripada (40.4), Malkangir (40.4) and Keonjhar (40.1).
Though temperature remained under 40 Degrees in the coastal belts, however, the intense humidity made the lives of the people miserable.
The twin city of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar recorded 37.2 and 36.4 Degrees respectively. But the humidity level in these two cities recorded 79 percent, the release added.
The release further said there would be no change in the weather condition in the state till April 2. However, there would be further rise in the day temperature up to April 7.
