12-year-old slips off train, loses legs

Rourkela: In an unfortunate incident, a 12-year old boy lost both his legs after he slipped off a train at Rourkela railway station on Wednesday.

The boy, identified as Anil Benua was reportedly doing odd jobs including bottle picking and sweeping inside trains.

According to sources, this morning while getting down from the Jammu-Tai Express in Rourkela station, the boy slipped off the train footboard and fell down. His legs got caught in the wheels and within no time both his legs got severed.

Rescued, the boy was immediately rushed to Rourkela Government Hospital in a critical condition, sources added.
