12 minors rescued from Soro station

Balasore: Police today rescued 12 minor migrant labourers from Soro railway station in Balasore district while they were being transported to Hyderabad on Monday.

As per sources, all the minors belong to Thakuramunda area of Mayurbhanj district. Police said they were all waiting to board a train at the Soro station in which they were supposed to go to Hyderabad to work in a brick kiln.

Acting on a tip-off, a team led by Soro IIC reached the spot and detained the 13 minors along with the agent behind this. "We have detained them for further questioning while the agent has also been arrested,' said a police official.
