12-hr bandh hits life in Bolangir

Bolangir: Normal life was affected here today as the Tusura Nagarika Manch resorted to a 12-hr bandh protesting non-inclusion of Tusura under the Rurban Mission.

While vehicles stayed off the roads, shops and other business establishments remained closed during the bandh. The activists staged road blockade at various places during the protest.

The State government had included five clusters under the mission in August last year, while 5 clusters were included in the Rurban Mission before that. The objective of the mission is to stimulate local economic development, enhance basic services and create well planned Rurban clusters.
