12-hour Odagaon bandh total

Odagaon (Nayagarh): The 12-hour bandh called today by the Odagaon Bikash Parishad demanding NAC status for Odagaon has evoked good response from the public in the town.

Normal life was thrown out of gear as vehicular movement at Odagaon came to a standstill while all shops and other business establishments remained closed during the bandh. The Odagaon Bar Association, auto associations and trade associations have supported the bandh, said a member of the Parishad.

“Odagaon has all the criteria needed to be declared as a Notified Area Council (NAC). Hence, the Government should immediately accord the status to the town,” he added.

Adequate security arrangements were made by police to maintain law and order situation.
