12-hour bandh disrupts normal life in G.Udaygiri

Kandhamal: Normal life has been adversely affected due to a 12-hour bandh called by Kuidina Manch in G Udaygiri of Kandhamal district today.

The Manch has given the dawn-to-dusk bandh call on a three point charter of demands including immediate arrest of the accused in the murder of one Deshant Pradhan of Kumbharkumpa village .

According to reports, Pradhan had died after being run over by a speeding truck on April 9. Basing on the allegations by the family that Deshant was murdered, police then had arrested one person in connection with the incident.

Demanding arrest of other accused, compensation for the family of the deceased and shifting of liquor shop from the area, the Kunidina Manch is observing the bandh in the region today.
