10 Ministers to be inducted today

Bhubaneswar: Ten leaders of Biju Janta Dal (BJD) would be inducted as ministers in Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik cabinet here on Sunday. The swearing in ceremony is scheduled to be held at Abhishek hall in Raj Bhavan at 09:20 am, official sources said.

Out of the ten leaders who will take oath, 6 have been given cabinet rank while 4 will be inducted as Ministers of State.

Niranjan Pujari will take oath as a cabinet minister along with Bhandaripokhari MLA Prafulla Samal, Surya Narayan Patro, Mahanga MLA Pratap Jena, Puri MLA Maheswar Mohanty and Jayadev MLA Sasibhushan Behera.

Bhatli MLA Sushant Singh, Parjang MLA Nrusingha Sahoo, Bhograi MLA and party chief whip Anant Das and Cuttack Sadar MLA Chandrasarathi Behera will be take oath as Minister of State ranks in the Naveen cabinet.

The name of Karanjia MLA Bijay Nayak, who was supposed to take oath as Minister of state rank, has been dropped in the last minute, official sources said.
