Body of woman recovered from well

Gunpur: Body of a woman was recovered from a well near Jaltar village under Putasingh police limits in Rayagada district today. The deceased has been identified as Nalita Raju (20), a resident of Jaltar village.

The matter came to light after locals spotted the body floating in the well. Later, the village sarpanch informed the Fire Services personnel about the matter.

After receiving information, the Fire services personnel rushed to the spot and recovered the body.

Meanwhile, Putasingh police has sent the body for post-mortem and initiated further investigation into the incident.

Though the exact reason of death is yet to be established, it is suspected that Nalita might have slipped and fell into the water while taking bath near the well.
