Bhubaneswar: The mortal remains of Odia youth, Debasish Jena, who died under mysterious circumstances in Dubai last month, arrived at the Bhubaneswar airport today following the intervention of former Kendrapara MP Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda.

It is pertinent to mention here that the family members of the deceased Odia youth had sought help from the former MP who later took up the matter with senior officials of Indian Embassy at Dubai.

Panda had also urged the senior authorities for a detailed probe into Jena’s death who died in Dubai on September 14.

On September 27, the former Kendrapara MP had visited the family members of the deceased Odia youth who hails from Rajnagar and had assured all possible help to bring their son’s body back home.

Panda today paid his tributes after Jena's body arrived at Bhubaneswar airport.

“As the family claimed that it was not a natural death, I had urged the officials for a police probe and was following it up with them to complete other formalities,” said Panda.

Panda further expressed concerns over migration of talented youths from Odisha to other parts of the country and abroad.

“I have a dream to work for the people of Odisha and ensure that youths of the State will not have move out in search of work by providing them job opportunities here,” Panda added.
