Body of BMC engineer found in car; family alleges murder

Bhubaneswar: Body of an assistant executive engineer with multiple injury marks was recovered today from a car, parked in an isolated place in Janla on the outskirts of the city.

The deceased has been identified as Manoj Mishra, an assistant executive engineer of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Smelling foul play, family members of Mishra alleged that the engineer has been murdered in a well-planned manner.

According to sources, after Mishra left home in Patia for Nayapalli last night, his family members were unable to contact him. Subsequently, Mishra's body was found today morning inside his car.

Police reached the spot and have initiated a probe after sending the body for post mortem, informed sources.
