Bhubaneswar: A day after joining the saffron party, former Parliamentarian Baijayant 'Jay' Panda today arrived in Bhubaneswar to a rousing reception at the airport. The capital city witnessed an unparalleled spectacle as supporters in large numbers gathered to welcome the mass leader on his homecoming.

Thousands including party members rallied Panda to the party headquarters here where a welcome ceremony was organised for him.

Inspired by the policies of PM Narendra Modi as well as the support backing him, Panda joined the BJP on March 4 (Maha Shivratri) in New Delhi in presence of party national president Amit Shah, Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Jual Oram, party Odisha in-charge Arun Singh, Odisha unit chief Basant Panda and other senior leaders.

Jay Panda asserted that his decision to work under Modi's leadership is what people on ground wanted him to do. "I want to see a better India and a better Odisha and will serve my people to the best of my ability," says Panda.
