Bhubaneswar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced names of candidates for one Lok Sabha and two Assembly constituencies of Odisha today. The national party has fielded Bibhu Prasad Tarai from Jagatsinghpur Lok Sabha constituency, while Rabi Mallick and Sunakar Behera have been fielded from Kakatpur & Kendrapara Assembly seats respectively.

"I would like to thank PM Modi, Amit Shah, Dharmendra Pradhan and Baijayant Panda for choosing me for Jagatsinghpur seat. I will work towards generating more employment opportunities and resolving different issue like lack of drinking water supply," said Tarai while speaking to OTV.

Tarai had joined BJP on Thursday in the presence of party’s national vice president, Baijayant Panda and other senior leaders in Bhubaneswar. Similarly, former MLA Rabi Mallick, had joined BJP yesterday after quitting BJD.

BJP today released an all India list of 24 candidates including three candidates for Odisha. With this list, BJP has announced candidates for all the Lok Sabha and Assembly constituencies in Odisha.
