Kendrapara: It seems that the battle of ballots at hand is getting onto the nerves of BJD's Kendrapara LS candidate and Rajya Sabha member Anubhav Mohanty. The actor-turned-politician lost his temper when reporters asked some questions during an election rally on Thursday.

Mohanty reportedly fumed after journalists asked him about the triangular fight for the Kendrapara Lok Sabha seat between an actor, politician and a lawyer.

"It's you (Media) who are making it a fight between an actor, politician and a lawyer. I am a leader and a disciplined worker of BJD. As a Rajya Sabha member, I have been fighting and raising the issues pertaining to Odisha in the parliament in the last 5 years," said Mohanty, who was visibly irked at being addressed as an actor.

Mohanty further said, "It will be a fight between 'Beimani' and 'Swabhimani.' I am sure that the 'Swabhiman' of Kendrapara people will win."

However, the actor got irritated after he was asked a question over utilisation of MPLAD funds and what he has done for Cuttack.

"You (media) have come up with a personal agenda. First go to Cuttack Collectorate and get some information and then I will respond," Mohanty said.

Responding to Mohanty's comments, BJP's Mahakalpada candidate Bijay Pradhan said, "Jay Panda is a 'Swabhimani' and the person fighting against him might be a 'beimaan.' BJP will win all the seats in Kendrapara."

Pradhan further said that Odisha has been pushed into darkness in the 19 years of Naveen Patnaik's rule and a new chapter of development will be written after PM Modi-led government comes to power in Odisha," Pradhan added.
