Rayagada: BJD State vice president and Rajya Sabha member N. Bhaskar Rao today targeted a particular media for ‘publicising’ the attack on former MP Kharabela Swain during a public meeting at Kashipur in Rayagada.

Refuting that the accused does not belong to his party, Rao said “I condemn the attack on Swain. In his FIR, the former MP has mentioned about three people. He has not mentioned about any party."

"But only one media house has been intentionally publicising the news and I don’t know what has happened to them. They have done their work and whatever will happen in future they will be responsible for that. In Rayagada, there was no politics as practised in coastal districts. Now such politics will be played here. We have nothing to say but we will soon decide on our future course of action," he added.

It is pertinent to mention that Swain himself had posted the video of the attack on him on Facebook. Even Swain had alleged the attack was carried out by BJD members.
