BJD ex-MLA sex tape scandal: Family alleges conspiracy

Phulbani: Parents of BJD's former MLA from Phulbani, Debendra Kanhar, who is embroiled in a sex tape controversy, have alleged that an attempt is being made to spoil their son's political career.

Addressing a press meet, parents of Debendra today said that the video could have been doctored on the direction of some party leaders.

The elderly couple claimed that allegations have brought shame to their family.

"It appears like a conspiracy against my son and we are paying a price for it. We have lost all respect," Debendra's father, Kantheswar said.

Two days back Kandhamal Police formed two special teams to nab the former Phulbani MLA. Earlier, a sex tape of the legislator had surfaced exposing his involvement in immoral acts days after a young woman of Phulbani had lodged a complaint against him alleging misbehaviour.
