Sambalpur: In a blatant breach of code of conduct, BJD candidate Naba Das was spotted luring voters during an election rally in Kuchinda area of Sambalpur today.

In a video, Das is heard assuring allotment of two houses to Self Help Groups (SHGs) and financial assistance to farmers by announcing drought even if there was none.

"If you cast vote for BJD, we will extend assistance by announcing drought even if there is none, we will give two houses to each SHG in every panchayat," Das said.

Das also assured the people that he will present their demands before party president Naveen Patnaik.

Das, who was the former working president of Odisha Congress had formally joined the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on January 24.
