Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Sunday announced the dates for reopening of Universities and Colleges across the State.

As per the latest notification, the government has directed State Public Universities and Government as well as Non-Government Degree Colleges (coming under H.E. Department) to commence physical classroom teaching for students of 2020-21 Final Year UG/PG courses from January 11.

As per the UGC guidelines, the higher education department has come up with an academic calendar for the 2020-21 Final Year UG/PG courses.

Hostels shall be opened from January 10 only for 2020-21 Final Year UG/
PG students as well as Ph.D., M.Phil. and other Research Scholars, the official notification read.

All possible Covid-19 prevention protocols shall be followed in hostels.

As per the notification, physical classroom teaching shall be conducted on all days except the Examination Period, Sundays, January 26 (Republic Day), February 16 (Saraswati Puja) and 1st April 2021(Utkal Divas) to compensate for the loss of education.
