Bhubaneswar: Vigilance officials on Tuesday raided an assistant executive engineer in the capital city on charges of accumulating property disproportionate to his known sources of income.

As per sources, teams of the anti-corruption wing conducted raids to detect disproportionate assets of Bhubaneswar GPH Division-II assistant executive engineer Rabindra Nath Pradhan.

The procedure was initiated based on a search warrant from Vigilance Court in Bhubaneswar.

Simultaneous searches were carried out at 6 places including Pradhan’s residences at Nayapalli, Nuagaon, Balianta & Naharakanta.

Other locations like Pradhan’s office at Unit-III and his relative’s house at Kurunti and ancestral house at Baidyanathpur in Berhampur were also searched during the occasion.

As per Vigilance sources, Pradhan’s son owns a real estate building company and has apartments and as many as 48 flats to his name.
