Bhubaneswar COVID-19 Tally Breaches 28k Mark With 201 New Cases

Bhubaneswar: With 201 new COVID-19 positive cases getting detected in the last 24 hours, the total cases in the capital City rose to 28,110, according to the data shared by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Of the fresh cases, a whopping 137 were local contact cases while the remaining 64 were quarantine cases, the civic body said in a tweet.

Bhubaneswar also registered 292 recoveries in the last 24 hours. Total recoveries in the city currently stand at 25,352.

Earlier in the day, Covid-19 cases in Odisha continued its declining trend for the fourth consecutive day with 1913 cases in the last 24 hours. However, the death rate remained static with at least 15 persons succumbing to the virus in the State on Thursday.

With this, the Covid-19 caseload in the state rose to 276094 which included 19932 and 254913 recoveries while the death toll mounted to 1196.
