Bhubaneswar: Hours after the roof of an under-construction terminal linkage building collapsed at Bhubaneswar airport leaving one dead, the Commissionerate Police arrested four persons including the chief of the company engaged in the construction of the building.

As per police sources, Dillip Khatei, chief of Dilip Constructions Pvt Ltd which is executing the construction work; an AGM of Airports Authority of India Asish Sarkar & two engineers have been arrested in connection with the incident.

The arrested engineers in charge of the construction work at the project site are Abhilash Sarkar and Goutam Ray.

Based on the report of airport authorities and the preliminary investigation of the police, all of them were found responsible for the incident, informed sources.

Earlier on Friday night, an under-construction building to link the terminal 1 of Biju Patnaik International Airport with terminal 2 suddenly caved in killing a helper of a truck engaged in the construction work at the airport. Several other persons who were engaged in work also suffered injuries during the incident.
