BDA Official Lands In Vigilance Net Over Disproportionate Assets

Bhubaneswar: The Vigilance Department today conducted raids at the residence of an official of Bhubaneswar Development Authority(BDA) and four other places in Bhubaneswar and Jagatsinghpur on charges of amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

As per reports, the raids were conducted at residence and office of Section Officer Bibhuti Bhushan Ray in Jharpada, GGP colony and at his parental home in Jagatsinghpur.

During the raids, land records, bank accounts and many other important documents were verified. However, the BDA official brushed aside the allegations and alleged a conspiracy by his colleagues.

"I have been falsely implicated by office staff due to some internal transfers. Only after an inquiry, the truth will be revealed," said Bibhuti Bhushan.
