Balasore: Woman, Minor Son Killed In Hit-and-Run, Husband Critical

Balasore: In a tragic incident, a woman and her minor son were killed while her husband sustained critical injuries after they were hit by an unknown vehicle near Khantapada police station here on Thursday.

According to sources, the mishap occurred today morning when the trio was reportedly on their way to Bhadrak from Seragada on a scooter. The woman and her son died on the spot following the accident.

The husband of the woman was shifted to a hospital with grievous wounds. The driver of the unknown vehicle which hit the trio escaped from the spot with the vehicle.

In a related incident, two persons died after their bike hit a roadside tree near Buchakatei chhak under Riamal police limits in Deogarh district today.

The police have recovered the bodies of the deceased. Their identity is yet to be ascertained.
