Bhubaneswar: BJP's National President Amit Shah will visit Odisha on July 1 to to review the party's affairs, informed State general secretary Prithviraj Harichandan on Monday.

Recalling about Shah's clarion call to usher in BJP's  'Golden Period' by winning Odisha and West Bengal, Union Minister Jual Oram stated "It is evident that the focus of senior brass of BJP is on two eastern States Odisha and West Bengal and all members of the unit are working in this direction."

Oram further stated that the national president is constantly touring several parts of the country and holding talks and discussion with State leadership on several issues.

Amit Shah's visit assumes significance in the backdrop that the State BJP unit has made its intention clear of cornering the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) led by CM Naveen Patnaik on several issues in the coming elections.
