Alleged Morphed Video Case: Ramesh Rath Seeks Time To Appear Before Police Due To Health Issues

Bhubaneswar: OTV's senior journalist Ramesh Rath could not appear before the Keonjhar Police today in connection with the alleged morphed video case due to health issues.

As per reports, Rath could not appear on account of deterioration in his health condition owing to the police excesses. Rath has sought 15 days' time through his lawyer to appear.

"Due to health issues Rath could not appear. We have sought 15 days' time and he will appear before the police on any date provided by the concerned department," said Dhananjay Nayak, lawyer of Rath.

Five arrests were made in connection with the morphed video that went viral on social media one and a half years back. Later, on October 15, 2020, Rath was picked by police from near his residence in Bhubaneswar in connection with the case.
