Album actress death: Husband arrested by Jharsuguda police

Jharsuguda: Two days after Sambalpuri album actress Simran Singh's body was found under the Mahanadi River Bridge near Goira Matha in Sambalpur, Jharsuguda Police today arrested the husband of the actress, Dhrubraj Suna in connection with the case.

As per reports, Dhrubaraj was arrested following interrogation and a case has been registered against him under POCSO Act. The family members of the deceased actress had alleged that Simran was murdered by her husband.

Earlier yesterday, a voice message of the actress had gone viral on social media. It is suspected that the deceased had recorded the voice message a few hours before her death.

Sources said the voice message was sent by Simran to one of her friends. Though it is not clear when the voice message was sent, it is believed that it could have been recorded when Simran was returning to her home by train on the day of the incident.

In the audio clip, the actress claimed that she was depressed and had decided to leave everyone.

Meanwhile, post-mortem report of the actress mentioned that Simran died from a head injury.
