Koraput: Preparations are in final stages for Congress president Rahul Gandhi's scheduled visit to Jeypore in Koraput district tomorrow. The AICC chief is slated to address a public meeting at Bankabija under Jeypore Sadar police limits.

According to reports, the place of meeting is being supervised by the Special Protection Group (SPG) while security in Jeypore has also been tightened ahead of his visit.

Rahul is scheduled to reach Jeypore town at around 11:30 AM and first head to Sibasai Kalyan Mandap to attend a meeting and interact with a few women on the occasion of International Women's Day. Following this, he will address a public meeting in the city.

"Rahul Gandhi will initially hold an interaction with women at Sibasai Kalyan Mandap and discuss the issues related to their development. Following the interaction, he will address a public meeting where he will discuss issues related to farmers in the district," said Jeypore MLA & senior Congress leader Taraprasad Bahinipati.

As per sources, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, party Odisha in-charge Jitendra Singh, Chhattisgarh Health Minister TS Singh Deo, OPCC President Niranjan Patnaik, Leader of Opposition Narasingha Mishra, PCC working presidents and other party workers are likely to accompany Gandhi in the meeting.

This will be Rahul's third visit to Odisha in a span of two months. On January 24, the AICC chief addressed a rally at Tomando in Bhubaneswar where he accused CM Naveen of being remote-controlled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On February 6, Gandhi held marathon public meetings at Bhawanipatna and Rourkela.
