Cuttack: The Orissa High Court on Thursday expressed displeasure over the failure of Crime Branch in submitting the reports sought by the court earlier in the sensational case involving the mysterious death of social worker Aditya Dash.

While listing the case for next hearing on January 25, the Court has directed the investigating agency to submit the exact photocopy of post-mortem report and copy of recorded statements of three witnesses in the case by that day.

The wife of the deceased social worker, Bidyashree had made a failed suicide bid by consuming sleeping pills last month. She had said that some people have been blaming her and her family members for the death of her husband.

She had also moved the High Court seeking a CBI investigation into the case as the State Crime Branch has failed to make any headway in the case.

On the other hand, the Crime Branch had earlier informed the court that available information on the status of the investigation did not throw up any possibility of Aditya’s death to be a case of murder.

It is worth mentioning that Aditya’s body was found along railway tracks near Lingaraj Passenger halt in Bhubaneswar on July 7 last year. The cause of his death is still shrouded in mystery.
