Abandoned Newborn Girl Rescued From Jungle In Odisha

Mayurbhanj: A newborn girl was found abandoned in Singada Jungle under Raruan Police limits in Mayurbhanj district.

According to reports, some villagers of the village nearby the forest heard a baby crying and found her lying in the jungle. They rescued the baby and admitted her to Karanjia sub-divisional hospital for treatment.

Doctors at the hospital said that the baby is three to four days old and her health condition was normal.

The girl will be handed over to Childline officials after necessary procedure, informed doctor Satyajit Panda. Later prospective adoptive parents will be allowed to adopt the baby, said sources.
