Bhubaneswar: By shunning the extravagance and grandeur that accompany a wedding, a couple from Odisha has now become an internet sensation, thanks to their unique way of celebrating the new bond that has captured the hearts of all and sundry.

Far away from the crazy trend of destination wedding, the couple's marriage was not only simple with a handful of guests and without the band-baaza, but their wedding ceremony was graced by some unique guests.

Much to everyone's surprise, Eureka Apta, a resident of Bhubaneswar who recently tied knot with the love of his life Joanna Wong, a dentist who hails from northeastern India on September 25, hosted a party for over 500 stray dogs to mark their wedding ceremony.

Speaking to OTV, Joanna said "Marriage was the perfect occasion when we thought that we could do something memorable and virtuous like helping and giving."

"We always wanted to be have a simple wedding," she added.

The couple did not want to throw a lavish party but instead they came up with an idea to feed some stray dogs in their area.

Eureka who is a filmmaker said that making people aware is the most important responsibility. I believe that if I am able to inspire someone with my action, nothing will be more cherishing, he added.
