Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has appointed 172 dental surgeons, including 106 female and 66 male candidates on the recommendation of Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC).

The appointed surgeons, who will be posted in various state-run health institutions across the State, have been asked join duty within 30 days of the issue of the notification i.e. from today.

“They were appointed in the rank of Group A (junior) of the Odisha Medical and Health Services (Dental) cadre under the Health and Family Welfare Department in the scale of pay Rs 56,100 (as per the 7th pay commission) and other allowances as admissible and sanctioned by the government from time to time,” said an official statement.
