Bhubaneswar: A total of 602 children have reportedly gone missing in just three months since January this year. The shocking and disturbing trend came to light after Women and Child Development Minister, Tukuni Sahu briefed the Odisha Assembly on Saturday.

While replying to a question by Congress MLA Suresh Routray in Odisha Assembly, Sahu informed that out of the total missing 602 children, 502 are minor girls.

Moreover, all the children went missing between January and March 2019.

While 455 cases were registered, 78 girls have been traced and rescued. Out of the 100 missing boys, 31 have been traced, the minister added.
