New Delhi: In a major development, the Union Cabinet today chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the setting up of 50 new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV) under the Civil/Defence Sector all over the country.

Of these 50 Kendriya Vidyalayas approved, four KVs would be set up in Odisha- one in Anandpur in Keonjhar district, second one in Champua of Keonjhar district, and the other KVs in Chatrapur in Ganjam district and Gunupur in Rayagada district.

As per reports, the Vidyalayas are proposed to be opened in the Civil/Defence Sector and once they are fully functional they will provide quality education to approximately 50,000 students once they become fully operational.
