Bhubaneswar: For the second consecutive day, Odisha recorded seven deaths due to Covid-19, pushing the death toll to 154. The list of deceased includes a five-year-old boy from Bhubaneswar.
Three deaths were reported from Ganjam district, Rayagada reported two deaths while Cuttack and Bhubaneswar registered one death each.
The State also witnessed death of a coronavirus patient due to other reasons, taking the number of such deaths to 35.
Here are details of seven COVID19 deaths reported in last 24 hours
- A 55-year old male of Ganjam district.
- A 72-year old male of Rayagada district who was also suffering from Diabetes.
- A 31-year old male of Rayagada district.
- A 56-year old male of Ganjam district .
- A 45-year old male of Cuttack district who was also suffering from Bronchial asthma and Diabetes.
- A 39-year old male of Ganjam district.
- A 5-year old male child of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Cerebral Palsy with seizure disorder.

The health department also reported about the death of a 16-year old Covid positive female of Balasore district.

As many as 1215 new coronavirus cases were detected in Odisha in the last 24 hours, taking the total positive tally to 28107.
Ganjam district reported highest 332 cases followed by Khurda with 312 positives. While Gajapati reported 89 cases, Kenojhar, Koraput and Cuttack registered 77, 73 and 60 cases respectively.
