Bhubaneswar: Good news for air travellers as AirAsia will start four new domestic flights from Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar. As per airport authorities, AirAsia will launch 2 new flights from Bhubaneswar to Bengaluru from October 27. Moreover, the airliner will operate two flights from Bhubaneswar airport to Hyderabad and Kolkata.

“The air connectivity from the airport will get a boost as AirAsia will start domestic flight services which were earlier discontinued. The flight operations are expected to start from October 28,” said Bhubaneswar Airport director, Suresh Chandra Hota.

On the other hand, Hota informed that the timings of AirAsia Bhubaneswar-Kuala Lumpur flights have also been changed in view of the re-carpeting work of the existing runway at the airport.

The AirAsia flight from Kuala Lumpur will now land at Bhubaneswar airport at 9 PM instead of its previous timing at 11.25 PM from October 27. The flight to Kuala Lumpur will depart at 9:30 PM as per the new revised timings, Hota added.
