30 injured in bus accident in Nayagarh

Nayagarh: At least 30 persons were injured while one person suffered critical injuries in a bus accident near Akurabandh chhak under Gania police limits in Nayagarh today morning.

As per reports, the mishap took place after the tourist bus, travelling from Chhattisgarh to Cuttack lost its balance and rammed into a roadside tree.

Subsequently, after getting information about the incident, police rushed to the spot and rescued the passengers with the help of locals.

Later, all the injured were admitted to a hospital where they are currently undergoing treatment whereas the critically-injured passenger has been shifted to Cuttack SCB Medical College and Hospital.

While some passengers alleged that the mishap occurred as the bus driver fell asleep, a police investigation is currently underway.
