3 held for abducting lady teacher in Kandhamal

Kandhamal: Three persons were arrested for allegedly abducting a lady teacher in Tumudibandha police limits area of Kandhamal district on Saturday.

The arrested have been identified as Srikant Majhi, a teacher in Badipanga Primary School in the district and his two associates- Chagala Majhi and Nasri Majhi.

Police also rescued the lady teacher from Srikant's house at Dandadabadi, reports said.

According to sources, the trio allegedly abducted the lady teacher of Dangeshiguda UP School while she was taking class in the school.

Later, a complaint was filed at Tumudibandha police station in this connection.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the incident is on, police said.
