3 friends killed in road mishap on Friendship Day

Bolangir: Three youths of Malpada were killed after being hit by an unidentified vehicle near Satmail in Puintala block of the district on late Saturday night.At least three youths were killed after being hit by an unidentified vehicle near Satmail in Puintala block of the district on late Saturday night.

The deceased have been identified as Lalit Ranjan Kar, Achyut Bagarti and Rakesh Bag of Malpada area. Sources said the trio used to frequently move out of the town and visit several places across the State.The incident occurred when all the three friends were returning from Sonepur to Bolangir on a motorcycle yesterday.

On getting information, senior police officials reached the spot and rescued the bodies .Though it is still unclear how the tragic incident occurred, police have started investigation into the incident.
