Bhubaneswar: The Higher Education Department on Monday issued guidelines and timeline for the phase III admissions of Undergraduate classes (+3 first year) for the session 2020-21.

As per the official notification, the entire process of admissions will be done through the SAMS portal. The Common Application Forms (CAF) will be available online on the official website from January 29, 2021.

The last date for applying online is February 2,2021. As per the official notification, the final merit list will be published on February 3. The online admission and data updation of students selected in Phase III will be conducted between February 4 and February 9, 2021.

In a letter, the Higher Education Department has directed Principals of all Degree Colleges to strictly follow the guidelines.

Here's a quick look on the  guidelines:

-Candidates those who have passed Instant Higher Secondary Education 2020 in all streams

-Candidates those who have not applied for admissions during Phase I and Phase II admission process/ candidates who have not taken admissions in both the phases.

-Candidates will deposit CAF fees in this phase of admission in online mode.

-There will be reservation in the category of SC, ST, ESM, SPD, CoM in respect of available vacancies in different colleges/ subjects.

-There will be weightage for applicants/ students in the categories of NCC, NSS, Rover & Ranger, sports & Games as per common prospectus.

-Selection will be done as per merit.
