Rourkela: In yet another tragic death of a Covid Warrior in Odisha, a 29-year-old PG student of Ispat General Hospital (IGH) succumbed to the COVID-19 virus here on Sunday.

The deceased, Priyashree Kumari, a native of Nalanda district in Bihar, was pursuing second year Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Surgery and had been attending to Covid-19 patients at the hospital.

She reportedly got infected while serving the patients and eventually died while undergoing treatment.

The mortal remains of the Covid warrior was consigned to flames at Vedabyas Swargadwar crematorium here with a guard of honour.

Rourkela MLA Sarada Prasad Nayak, ADM Aboli Sunil Naravane, IGH Director SS Pati, Priyashree's kith and kin and her classmates attended the cremation.
