2 women, minor girl electrocuted to death in Odisha

Khurda: At least three persons, including a minor girl and two women, were reportedly electrocuted to death in two separate incidents in Odisha on Tuesday.

Two women were electrocuted at Tentulidihi villager under Balugaon block in Khurda district. The deceased duo has been identified as Bidyut Lata Mohapatra and Mamata Mohapatra.

According to reports, the iron gate of Bidyut Lata's house was electrically charged due to a short circuit today morning. Unaware, Bidyut Lata grabbed the gate and got electrocuted. In a bid to save her, Mamata rushed to the spot and also got electrocuted.

Later, they were reportedly rushed to the nearby hospital but they were declared dead.

In another such incident reported from Mayurbhanj today, a minor girl (Chinu Patra) of a residential school, was electrocuted to death at Raidahi village under Kaptipada Police limits in the district. Chinu reportedly got electrocuted while trying to plug in the television. Soon she was rushed to the hospital, but declared dead by doctors.
