2 including minor boy killed in road mishap in Kalahandi

Kalahandi: In a tragic incident, two persons including a minor boy were killed while two others sustained grievous injuries in a road mishap at Baner in Jaypatna of the district late Wednesday night.

As per sources, one of the deceased was identified as a bicycle rider who was killed on the spot after being hit by a speeding truck (TATA 407). In a matter of time, the speeding vehicle lost its balance and overturned after it rammed into a roadside tree.

The other deceased was a minor boy who was sitting beside the truck driver. The minor died after getting crushed under the vehicle, sources said.

Following the incident, locals rushed to the spot and admitted the truck driver and the helper to Jaypatna hospital where they are undergoing treatment, added sources.
