Kendrapara: A 10-feet-long female crocodile along with 50 eggs was rescued from a bamboo bush near Arada village under Mahakalapara block of Kendrapara district on Sunday.

According to sources, the crocodile suspected to have sneaked into the human settlement from the nearby Gobari River attacked one Subash Patra, a resident of the village when he was collecting bamboo from a bush today morning.

However, Patra managed to escape from the crocodile and informed the locals about the reptile. Later the villagers managed to capture the reptile and also alerted the forest authorities about the incident.

After the forest department officials reached the village, they rescued the crocodile and also recovered the eggs.
