A dummy acting as a motorcycle suicide bomber is blown up next to a vehicle during a course on blast scene investigation near Hua Hin
Rourkela: A woman died and several others including minor children were critically injured in an explosion at Telugu slum near Madusudhanpalli in Rourkela today.
Two persons critically injured in the incident were admitted to Rourkela IGH while five minors have been shifted to Bhubaneswar for treatment as their condition worsened.
Sources said the explosion was so powerful that 10 houses were gutted and roofs of a few houses were blown away in its impact.
On getting information, Fire personnel rushed to the spot and doused the flames. Meanwhile, police reached the spot and have launched an investigation.
The cause of the explosion is yet to be confirmed.
